The GDPR is continuously in the news. For example, when it comes to major data breaches, the use of new technologies, or digital sovereignty. Supervisory authorities, such as the Dutch Data Protection Authority, also frequently make headlines. For privacy professionals, it is not only important to stay informed but also to interpret and contextualize these developments.

That is exactly what the Current Affairs College on GDPR and Privacy Law is intended for. In one afternoon, Jeroen Terstegge will bring you up to date on the latest developments in privacy and data protection law. Jeroen is a partner at PMP and one of the Netherlands' leading privacy lawyers with over 35 years of experience in the field. He has also been providing CIPP/E training at TSTC for 12 years.

Topics include:

• interesting court rulings in the Netherlands and at the European level;
• the latest status regarding legislation, including the GDPR, UAVG, and the Digital Omnibus;
• relevant opinions and other statements from the EDPB and the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

All developments will be commented on. There will be attention not only to the legal interpretation but also to the practical consequences: what should you do with this in practice? Where should you focus more sharply? And where are potential risks or opportunities? During the lecture, there will be plenty of room to ask questions and discuss practical experiences.
