Wanneer certificering niet van belang is, dan is de 1-daagse workshop AVG een alternatief. Deze workshop is ook geschikt als eerste stap richting CIPP/E wanneer je erg twijfelt over de hoeveelheid juridische stof die CIPP/E bevat, maar uiteindelijk wel wilt certificeren. If certification is not important, then the 1-day GDPR workshop is an alternative. Heb ik CIPP/E nodig om de CIPM privacy manager training te kunnen volgen? Do I need CIPP/E to be able to attend the CIPM privacy manager training?

Een CIPP/E training of certificering is niet verplicht voor deelname aan CIPM, maar wel verstandig. In de CIPP/E training leer je alle ins-en-outs van de AVG, terwijl hier in CIPM (waar je het juridisch kader juist handen en voeten gaat geven) weinig tot geen tijd meer voor is. Zonder CIPP/E kennis kan het dus zijn dat je in CIPM het waarom van een bepaalde maatregel mist. De CIPM training gaat dieper in op het hoe van privacy, en dan specifiek over het borgen van de AVG in een organisatie met behulp van privacy management. We bieden de combinatie van CIPP/E + CIPM aan tegen een gereduceerd bundeltarief wanneer je tegelijk inschrijft voor beide trainingen en deze binnen een jaar bij ons volgt. Het moment van deelname aan CIPM hoef je niet direct te bepalen, maar bijvoorbeeld pas nadat je geslaagd bent voor CIPP/E. In the CIPP/E training, you learn all the ins and outs of the GDPR, while in CIPM (where you will give practical application to the legal framework), there is little to no time for that. Without CIPP/E knowledge, you may miss the reasoning behind a certain measure in CIPM. The CIPM training delves deeper into the how of privacy, specifically about embedding the GDPR in an organization using privacy management. We offer the combination of CIPP/E + CIPM at a reduced bundle rate when you register for both trainings at the same time and complete them within a year with us. You do not need to determine the timing of your participation in CIPM immediately, but for example, only after you have passed CIPP/E.

Is er naast de klassikale training nog zelfstudie nodig om te slagen voor het CIPP/E examen? Is there any self-study required in addition to the classroom training to pass the CIPP/E exam?

IAPP geeft aan dat je naast de twee klassikale dagen nog rekening moet houden met zo'n 30 uur zelfstudie. Uiteraard verschilt dit per persoon en kan bijvoorbeeld meer of minder ervaring in het vakgebied leiden tot een langere of kortere studie. Bij TSTC bepaal je zelf hoe je deze periode verdeelt voor en na de training. De vereiste zelfstudie op ons MyTSTC platform neemt niet meer dan vijf uur in beslag, maar je bent vrij om al meer te lezen zodat je meer gerichte vragen meeneemt naar de training en/of naderhand sneller examen kunt doen. We adviseren je na de training nog te oefenen met de inbegrepen examenoefenvragen voordat je examen doet. Hiermee raak je al enigszins bekend met het type vraagstelling en kom je al voordat je examen doet achter eventuele zwakke punten. Remain an IAPP member or pay the certification maintenance fee every two years. This fee is already included in the membership. 2. Description

CIPP/E is a title from the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) and is regarded as the European standard in the field of privacy certification. With a CIPP certification, you demonstrate knowledge of both global and specific regional laws and regulations in privacy and data protection. This not only distinguishes you from other professionals but also shows your organization's commitment to these important themes for customers.

The CIPP/E training is fully aligned with the European Privacy Regulation GDPR / AVG. In addition, we cover current themes and case law as well as the Dutch situation (Dutch Data Protection Authority, Data Breach Notification Duty) in the course.

In the training, we focus on global privacy and data protection principles and approaches, as well as themes such as online privacy, types of data, and jurisdiction, but the emphasis is on the European context and local laws and regulations. Current topics such as responsibly handling the provision of sensitive personal data to, for example, the United States, Cloud Computing, AI, and social networks are also addressed.

Previously, it was only possible to attend a CIPP/E training at annual IAPP conferences; TSTC has been offering this training since 2014 as the first provider according to an open schedule.
In addition to more flexibility, the main advantages are a smaller group size with more room for interaction and the guarantee of a very experienced Dutch-speaking trainer who is knowledgeable about the local Dutch privacy situation.

Working method

We deviate from the regular CIPP/E training by starting with a short, guided self-study period on our exclusive MyTSTC learning platform prior to the classroom training. In this, you will receive an assessment test and tailored material (including videos) that prepares you for the intensive training. With this approach, we reduce differences in levels among participants and spread the self-study mentioned by IAPP (30 hours) over a part before and after the training. In this context, you will also be further guided online towards the exam via our platform after the training.

This training is classroom-based but can also be attended Live Online if desired. You will then follow the training live remotely with our own instructor, view the slides and notes on the whiteboard, and can ask questions to both the trainer and your fellow participants. Essentially, it’s just like being present at the classroom training, but from your own location. If the Live Online training does not meet your expectations, you may attend the classroom training again free of charge within a year.

Certification

This training is a preparation for the included CIPP/E exam, which allows you to obtain the internationally recognized CIPP/E certification from IAPP. After the training, you will independently schedule the exam using the exam voucher that we will place directly in a new or existing MyIAPP account. You can take the exam at one of the exam locations (including with us in Veenendaal) or from home, where a proctor will monitor you via your webcam.
