In contrast to the more legal CIPP/E training where we address the 'what and why' of privacy, this CIPT training focuses on the 'how' of privacy, specifically in relation to IT and technology with all the specific issues surrounding it.
CIPT is the only internationally recognized certification of its kind aimed at teaching organizations how to ensure data privacy during all phases of an IT product and service lifecycle. With the CIPT certification, you demonstrate that you are capable of applying privacy and data security skills when designing, developing, deploying, and auditing products, applications, or services.
The CIPT course, for example, addresses the implementation of privacy in (the design of) IT solutions. Additionally, the privacy implications of, for example, the Internet of Things, data collection or classification, and best practices in these areas are extensively covered.
Where it was once only possible to attend a CIPT training at annual IAPP conferences, TSTC now offers this training as the (then) first provider worldwide according to an open schedule. In addition to more flexibility, the main advantages are a smaller group size with more room for interaction and the guarantee of a Dutch-speaking trainer who is knowledgeable about the local Dutch privacy situation, such as the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP).
After the training, it is possible to take the exam with an included exam voucher and obtain the corresponding CIPT title. Exams can be taken at a time of your choice at various locations in the Netherlands.

We deviate from the regular CIPT training by starting with a short, guided self-study period on our exclusive MyTSTC learning platform prior to the classroom training. In this, you will receive an assessment test and tailored materials (including videos) that prepare you for the intensive training. With this approach, we reduce differences in levels among participants and spread the self-study mentioned by IAPP (30 hours) over a part before and after the training. In this context, you will also be further guided online towards the exam via our platform after the training.
This training is classroom-based but can also be attended Live Online if desired. You will then follow the training live remotely with our own instructor, view the slides and notes on the whiteboard, and can ask questions to both the trainer and your fellow participants. So, it’s just like being present at the classroom training, but from your own location. If the Live Online training does not meet your expectations, you may attend the classroom training again free of charge within a year.
