TSTC+ Trainings

With our most popular security and privacy training, you get something extra. With these titles, you will be guided online for one year via our exclusive MyTSTC learning platform. Whether this applies to your training can be seen on the relevant training page. If MyTSTC is mentioned under the 'summary' section, then you are dealing with a TSTC+ training, which is supported by MyTSTC.

With a TSTC+ training, you will receive access to the MyTSTC online learning environment 4-8 weeks before the start of the classroom days. From that moment on, your training begins. On MyTSTC, you will find activities that you can do before the training starts, but you will also receive assistance after your training to prepare for the exam. On this page, we explain what you can expect and why MyTSTC is experienced as an added value to their training by no less than 98% of our participants.

Phase 1 - Preparation for the training

One of the challenges of classroom training is the ever-present differences in levels among participants. To address this issue, we have emphasized good preparation for over 25 years. In TSTC+ training, we take this a step further. 

Well in advance of the training, you will receive the login details for your MyTSTC learning environment. To prepare for the classroom days, there are two or sometimes more activities available:

1. An assessment test in which we assess your prior knowledge on the prerequisites for participating in the training. If you score less than 100%, there is nothing to worry about, but you will receive adaptive videos and texts based on the mistakes made that will help you meet the requirements. This prevents you from being unfamiliar with concepts that the rest of the group already masters during the training, which often causes discomfort not only for the group but especially for the questioner. 

2. A reading guide or self-study module that prepares you for the classroom days in combination with the official study material. By reviewing part of the material in advance, we can focus more on labs, complex topics, discussions, or case studies during the training itself. In short, this is what distinguishes classroom training from self-study. In the preparation, you and your fellow participants lay a foundation that can be built upon during the training. Something you would never get to without preparation, simply because laying the foundation (which is already present for some participants) takes too much time. 

Phase 2 - During the training

During your preparation, you not only had the opportunity to go through part of the material, but you were also able to note specific questions for the classroom days based on that. For example, because they relate to your specific work situation or because you want examples for a concept you have encountered. 

This contributes to the interaction during the training and enhances the final result, which aligns better with your personal learning goals than would be the case in a regular training without preparation. Examples or videos shown during the training are often available in your MyTSTC environment on the last day. Sometimes, materials on MyTSTC support the theory or assignments you do during the training, or you gain access to a corresponding lab environment via MyTSTC. 

Finally, you can evaluate the training on the platform afterwards in peace so that no time is lost for this during the training itself.

Phase 3 - Exam Preparation

After your training, start preparing for the exam. Since you have already reviewed part of the material before the training, our trainers have been able to train you close to the exam level. In this phase, you will therefore dot the i's. MyTSTC supports you with extra study materials and a unique Memotrainer with exam practice questions that you receive in a way and at a time that suits your preferences.

  • You determine when during the week a set of practice questions is prepared and how many questions are in each set
  • You then decide whether you want to receive these questions via push notification on your mobile or by email
  • After you have answered a set of questions, you will see not only what was right or wrong but also why
  • You will receive all questions from the Memotrainer until you have answered them correctly twice, or until your exam day when you have entered it.

In addition to the Memotrainer, you use MyTSTC in this phase to ask questions to your trainer and/or fellow students. You will also automatically receive updates during your access, for example, if the exam changes or there are adjustments in the training slide deck. This way, you stay up-to-date regarding the exam even after your training!
