Description

This BIO2 training day is intended for everyone who is already familiar with the current Baseline Information Security Government (BIO) and would like to know in one day what changes with BIO2. If you previouslyr Certified BIO2 Professional Foundation (CBP-F) or Certified BIO Professional Practitioner (CBP-P) attended, then this is the right training for you. But also if you have practical knowledge of the BIO in another way, this is the ideal way to update your knowledge in one day.

This BIO2 training has a practical approach and mainly focuses on everything that changes compared to the first version of the BIO. The BIO2 is based on the latest versions of ISO27001 and ISO27002 and also relates to other standards such as NEN 7510 and the Cybersecurity Implementation Guidelines (CSIR). The BIO2 fulfills the duty of care as translated in the Netherlands from the NIS2 directive into the Cybersecurity Act (Cbw), which will soon come into effect.

 

Certification

The BIO2 What's New training day does not include an exam or the possibility of certification, but you will receive a certificate of participation indicating the number of training hours completed. This can be useful for maintaining (C)PE obligations for sustaining any other certifications. If you wish to get certified in the area of BIO, you need to take the Certified BIO2 Professional Foundation (CBP-F) or Certified BIO Professional Practitioner (CBP-P) training(s). Both trainings have been updated to align well with the upcoming BIO2. Additionally, you can also take the Certified NIS2 Professional (CNIS2) training to deepen your knowledge of the NIS2 directive.

What Can I Learn After The BIO2 - What's New Training?

  • Explain how the BIO2 relates to the NIS2 directive and the Dutch Cybersecurity Act, and what this means for government organizations.
  • Recognizing and translating the key changes in management measures and government measures to one's own organization.
  • Develop a practical step-by-step plan to successfully implement BIO2 within a (government) organization.
  • Indicate the difference between the old basic security levels (BBNs) and the new risk-based approach within BIO2.
  • Describe how an Information Security Management System (ISMS) is structured and how BIO2 is integrated into it.
  • Elaborate on the role of adult risk management within BIO2 and apply it to practical situations.
