Offensive Security, the organization behind the well-known OSCP certification, offers a solution in the form of the online (self-study) Learn Fundamentals license.  

Learn Fundamentals is fully designed to help you master the basic concepts of cybersecurity, develop the mindset needed for a successful cybersecurity career, and provide the prerequisite knowledge required for participation in more advanced courses from Offensive Security and other vendors. You will gain access to an ever-growing learning library with various training and learning paths at a fundamental level.

What do I receive in the Learn Fundamentals license?

  • 1 year of unlimited access to all Offensive Security Fundamental content (level 100) and learning paths - under the 'Global Content' section at the bottom of this page, you can read exactly which components you can expect. Currently, Learn Fundamentals includes the following learning paths:
  1. PEN-100: Network Penetration Testing Essentials
  2. SOC-100: Security Operations Essentials
  3. WEB-100: Web Application Assessment Essentials
  4. EXP-100: Exploit Development Essentials
  5. CLD-100: Introduction to Cloud Security
  6. SSD-100: Introduction to Secure Software Development
  • 1 year of access to the corresponding lab environment where you can also safely apply the theory in practice
  • Access to the PEN-103 Kali Linux Revealed training including 1 KLCP exam attempt
  • Access to the PEN-210 Offensive Security Wireless Attacks training including 1 OSWP exam attempt

 

Training Duration

The Learn Fundamentals license lasts for 1 year and can be extended afterwards or (for an additional fee) upgraded to the Learn One solution where more advanced training can be found. 

 

 

Certification

Part of the Learn Fundamentals license includes several assessments through which OffSec badges can be earned, as well as two exams. By passing these, you will earn the OffSec Kali Linux Certified Professional (KLCP) and OffSec Wireless Professional (OSWP) certifications.
