No cybersecurity team is complete without some knowledge of digital forensics. Digital forensics and investigations are crucial for successfully handling a cyber incident when it occurs.
The CHFI training from EC-Council equips cybersecurity professionals with the knowledge and skills to conduct effective digital forensic investigations and prepare their organization forensically. This includes setting up the forensic process, procedures for laboratory and evidence handling, as well as the investigative methods needed to validate/triage incidents and guide the incident response team in the right direction. Forensic readiness is essential as it can determine whether an incident remains small or escalates into a major cyberattack that can paralyze a company.
In this intensive hands-on program, we not only cover the theory, but you also work practically in more than 68 forensic labs. You will have the opportunity to work with specially created evidence files and the tools that leading forensic experts worldwide use. In addition to traditional hardware and memory forensics, you will delve deeper into current and relevant topics such as cloud forensics, mobile forensics, IoT forensics, web application attacks, social media forensics, dark web forensics, and malware forensics. The CHFI program adopts a structured approach to digital forensics, including processes for searching, seizure, evidence management (chain-of-custody), acquisition, analysis, and reporting of digital evidence.
In the CHFI training, you will learn how to acquire and manage evidence in various operational environments, as well as the legal procedures necessary to preserve evidence and ensure its admissibility in court. This knowledge helps prosecute cybercriminals and limit liability for attacked organizations.
By passing the included CHFI v11 exam after the training, you will earn the corresponding internationally recognized certification that demonstrates a solid foundation in digital forensics and DFIR (Digital Forensics and Incident Response), thereby increasing your employability. This practical training helps you refine your forensic skills or kickstart your career in digital forensics.
The CHFI training is classroom-based but can also be attended Live Online if desired. You follow the training live remotely with our own instructor, view the notes on the whiteboard, participate in all labs and can ask questions to both the trainer and your fellow students. Basically, it’s just like being present at the classroom training, but from your own location. If the Live Online training was not entirely to your satisfaction, you may attend it again in person with us free of charge within a year.
