Securing industrial automation and vital infrastructure is a hot topic. This 4-day industrial (cyber) security training is fully focused on the security approach of your ICS, SCADA, and DCS systems. After completing this training, you will have gained more than excellent knowledge for managing industrial (cyber) security within your own organization. You can establish and implement policies in accordance with national, European, and international laws and regulations. You will learn how to protect your production network or process installation against cyber attacks, based on the ISO 62443 guideline for cyber security for industrial automation and control systems and numerous other guidelines and standards.

 

Working method

Based on practical examples, the setup and implementation of a solid and well-functioning (cyber)security environment for industrial control systems (ICS) are addressed. As ICS systems are increasingly integrated with regular IT networks, concrete security recommendations are made to improve the security of both the organization and the IT infrastructure. The successful integration of risk management and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and the ICS security architecture are also important components of this current training.

SCADA stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. It is a combination of hardware and software used in industrial automation to monitor, control, and manage processes, often remotely.

Realtime Monitoring: The system collects data from sensors and machines and provides operators with immediate insight into operational processes. Remote Control: Operators can control pumps, valves, motors, and other equipment via a graphical interface (HMI), even if they are spread over a large geographical area. Data Collection and Logging: The system records critical business data, which can be analyzed later (historian). Alarm System: In case of deviations in the process, such as too high a temperature or pressure, the system immediately alerts the operator.
