In this 1-day introductory training, you will learn the basic principles of database concepts in a cloud environment, acquire basic skills in cloud data services, and develop foundational knowledge in cloud data services in a Microsoft Azure environment.

You will learn to recognize and describe important data concepts such as relational, non-relational, big data, and analytics, and then explore how this technology is implemented using Microsoft Azure.

We will examine the roles, tasks, and responsibilities in the world of data. You will explore the offerings of relational data, gain an understanding of setting up and implementing relational databases, and how to query relational data through Microsoft Azure's cloud data solutions.

You will get acquainted with the offerings of non-relational data, how to supply and implement it, and non-relational data storage using Microsoft Azure.

You will learn about the processing options available for building data analysis solutions in Azure. We will look at what Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure HDInsight solutions do, and you will learn what Power BI is, including its building blocks and how they work together.

 

Certification

This training prepares you for the corresponding and included DP-900 Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals exam. When you pass this exam, you earn the title Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals.
