Voordeel: u bepaalt zelf waar en wanneer u de training volgt tegen lagere kosten dan de klassikale training. Daarnaast is deze online optie als officieel IAPP traject net als de klassikale training prima te gebruiken als voorbereiding op het CIPM examen. Eventueel nadeel: alleen de officiële IAPP stof wordt behandeld, er worden dus geen uitstapjes gemaakt naar de Nederlandse situatie of actualiteit waar we dat in de klassikale training wel kunnen doen. Verder ontbreekt de mogelijkheid tot discussie en interactie met trainer en medecursisten die bij de klassikale trainingen wel geboden wordt.

IAPP's online CIPM training is een combinatie van video's, tekst en verduidelijkende afbeeldingen. De lesstof wordt gepresenteerd door IAPP geaccrediteerde sprekers en bevat interactieve scenario's en quizzes in een format waarmee u waar en wanneer het u schikt stapsgewijs door de CIPM domeinen wordt geholpen.

CIPM is dé internationaal erkende certificering op het gebied van privacy management. Waar CIPP/E alles leert over Europese en lokale wet- en regelgeving, leert u in de CIPM training hoe u deze binnen een organisatie toepast in een privacy officer- of manager rol. Dit maakt CIPM in combinatie met CIPP/E ook een geschikte keus wanneer u de rol van Functionaris Gegevensbescherming (FG) nastreeft.

Na de training is het optioneel mogelijk examen te doen en de bijbehorende CIPM titel te behalen.
