De Implementing Cisco Edge Network Security Solutions (SENSS) v1.0 training is een nieuw ontwikkelde klassikale training en is onderdeel van het opleidingspad richting de Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) certificering.

Ook als je de CCNP Security certificering niet (direct) nastreeft, kan je deze training volgen. Bijvoorbeeld wanneer je als security engineer kennis en hands-on vaardigheden wilt opdoen in het configureren van Cisco perimeter edge security solutions, gebruikmakend van Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers en Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Firewalls. 

Het belangrijkste doel van de training is het aanleren van fundamentele kennis en vaardigheden in de implementatie en het beheer van security op Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco Routers met hun firewall eigenschappen en Cisco Switches. Je doet hands-on ervaring op in het configureren van diverse perimeter security oplossingen waarmee bedreigingen van buitenaf kunnen worden beperkt en netwerk zones worden beveiligd. Na afloop van de training ben je in staat om risico's die de IT infrastructuur en applicaties lopen te verkleinen met behulp van Cisco Switches, Cisco ASA en Router security functionaliteit en hierop uitgebreide operationele support te geven.

Certificering

Deze training bereidt je voor op het 300-206 SENSS examen en is onderdeel van het CCNP Security traject, dat uit vier trainingen en examens bestaat. Kijk ook naar onze CCNP Security Bootcamp wanneer je deze certificering in korte tijd wilt behalen.

• Deploy Cisco Infrastructure management and control plane security controls.
• Configuring Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 data plane security controls.
• Implement and maintain Cisco ASA Network Address Translations (NAT).
• Implement and maintain Cisco IOS Software Network Address Translations (NAT).
• Designing and deploying Cisco Threat Defense solutions on a Cisco ASA utilizing access policy and application and identity based inspection.
• Implementing Botnet Traffic Filters.
• Deploying Cisco IOS Zone-Based Policy Firewalls (ZBFW).
• Configure and verify Cisco IOS ZBFW Application Inspection Policy.

• Netwerkprofessionals die betrokken zijn bij de ondersteuning en inzet van Cisco Edge Security oplossingen waarbij gebruik gemaakt wordt van Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches en Cisco ASA Firewalls.
• Professionals die de Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security certificering willen behalen - deze training bereidt je voor op één van de vier daarvoor benodigde examens.

Gewenste voorkennis

• Bij voorkeur in het bezit van een CCNA Security certificering (= ICND 1 + IINS of CCNA + IINS) of een willekeurige CCIE certificering
• Je bent bekend met Microsoft Windows OS
